Beginning Notes
This pattern requires string multiples of 5 to work ( 5, 10, 15, 20 strings etc).
Steps
Step 1:
You will need to work in 5 strings so if you pattern has more than five strings, make sure they are separated into groups before beginning.
Step 2:
Sort your strings out as follows:
| A | B | C | D | E |
Step 3:
You will need to put strings A and E to the side so you will end up with:
| B | C | D |
Step 4:
Take string B and do a forward knot over strings C and D, your new string order should b:
| C | D | B |
Step 5:
You will repeat the process two more times as follows:
Take string C and do a forward knot over strings D and B so you end up with the following string order:
| D | B | C |
Take string D and do a forward knot over strings B and C so you end up with the following string order:
| B | C | D |
Step 6:
You will now bring in the A and E strings.
Take the A string and do a forward knot over the B string.
Now take the E string and do a backward knot over the D string
Step 7:
Continue this pattern until you reach desired length or run out of string.
